The large Jonagold has a signature light yellow color with an extensive bright red overlay. The flesh is cream-colored, juicy, firm, crisp and fine-textured. It is aromatic, rich and honeyed, which make it a perfect dessert apple.

New Zealand Queen

The Queen apple has a rich, dark red color and has high sugar levels, providing for a sweet, crisp inner flesh. Often compared with the Fuji in flavor, the Queen is good for eating out of hand or for use in salads.

Apples Information:

The apple has been an integral part of history for thousands of years. From Adam and Eve, to Johnny Appleseed to today's Big Apple, the apple has been an important asset to our diet. It contains a lot of nutrition that the average person needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including carbohydrates for energy, Vitamin A & C and potassium. Apples also contain Thiamin, Riboflavin, phosphorous, calcium and a good source of fiber.

We're all familiar with the theory, "an apple a day, keeps the doctor away," but that goes for a dentist too. While eating an apple, your teeth and gums are stimulated, which increases your saliva and aids in dental hygiene and, because apples are low in calories, you can enjoy them often as you'd like and get these great health benefits at the same time.

To bring you the best tasting, freshest apples from around the world, we work with growers in New Zealand, Chile and the US who produce Galas, Fujis, Braeburns, Granny Smiths, New Zealand Queen and Rose apple varieties. Our dedicated growers also keep abreast of research developments so they can continue to bring you new apple varieties such as the delicious Tentation.

Avoid fruit with bruises, broken skin, or internal browning. Choose apples that are firm to the touch with good color and a pleasant smell.
